I've fallen in love with this pattern by Colette, it's designed for knit fabrics and so far I've made 3 this week, in various jerseys. I'm a curvy size 18-20 so decided to go somewhere between 2x and 3x on the pattern as my tummy is nearly as big as my bust!

It didn't need any other amendements other than making it a bit longer to cover my knees.

I love the fact that the top is fully lined rather than seperate facings which I hate, so the neckline is lovely and even. Think I'll next have a go at a sleeveless version for the summer. The sleeved one is great for spring without always needing a cardi on top.

The pattern instructions are very clear and I sewed a lot of mine just on the overlocker. It's fairly quick to make, about 2 hours, especially after the first one!

It took about 3m of fabric because I used the same fabric for the bodice lining and for the longer length, I'd guess I'll need 3.5m to make a full length version.

There's no fiddly fastenings to worry about, as it's jersey and just pulls on. The waist is slightly elasticated so it give the whole dress a great flattering shape. There are sleeve and collar options as well in the packet so you get lots of variations for your money.

Definitely my new 'go to' pattern for an easy to wear day dress!
